Passion Initiatives

Passion Initiatives are calls to action for specific high impact needs , such as disaster relief and Student ministry initiatives.

Church-wide Passion Initiatives:

• Disaster Relief — When disaster strikes, Woodlands Church missions advance team is on the ground to determine how our church can serve. Teams of volunteers are then trained and deployed to support relief efforts while offering hope and encouragement.
• Dominican Republic — Our Students will be traveling to the Dominican Republic where they will work with a ministry who is aiding orphaned and neglected children in the city of Santo Domingo.
• L.A. Dream Center — Our students will engage the poor of Los Angeles via the great work of the Dream Center. While there, they will do personal evangelism, children's ministry and community work.
• Japan — Disaster Relief was our focus in Japan during 2011. We gathered over 120 pastors from Tokyo to the Sendai region, impacting over 24,000 persons with immediate food, housing, clothing and transportation.

Non-church sponsored passion initiatives

• These initiatives are valuable, heartfelt service group initiatives led by very involved individuals, many of whom have developed their own not for profit organizations. Although it would be impossible for Woodlands Church to champion there, we encourage entrepreneurs to follow their passion for Christ. Our role with non-church sponsored service groups is primarily coaching and encouragement.
