Provision Coffee Company
We made a discovery about the places Woodlands Church is investing in around the world: Most countries we work with grow coffee, but the farmers and their families benefit least from their hard work.
From this discovery was born the idea that as we do ministry in these areas through local churches, we could naturally foster relationships with those whose livelihood comes from or "could" come from the coffee industry. Woodlands Church, having the capacity to open a domestic market for "coffee that cares," is working with many communities to encourage this strategic connection. Not only will this relationship provide a consistent source of income, it will generate resources that will be reinvested directly back into the same countries and regions to further ministry.
Countries where Woodlands Church is investing Missional focus have these things in common:
- Struggling churches, communities and family structures;
- Poor nutrition, limited access to health care, substandard education;
- Broken economies resulting in abject poverty, therefore crime & disease;
- Predominately agriculture based, using antiquated, ineffective farming techniques;
- Aid from the outside has often perpetuated rather than address the core needs;
- Openness to:
- -The gospel, work hard (if employment were available)
- -Changing methods & paradigms (Romans 12:2)
